It’s time to celebrate the next generation of leaders in the livestock and rural transport industry!

We’re proud to open nominations for the 2025 Rising Star Award, an opportunity to recognise the incredible young professionals who are already making a difference and shaping the future of our industry.

Each year, this award highlights individuals who show dedication, leadership, and innovation in rural transport. In 2023, Amy Throckmorten from TRG Transport took home the title, followed by Luke Cannon from Frasers Transport in 2024. Now, we’re looking for the next rising star!

Do you know a young professional who is making an impact? Nominate them today and help shine a light on the future of our industry.

Nominations close Friday 28th March 2025.
Winner to be announced at the 2025 National Carriers Convention this April

New President and Committee for LRTAQ

ALRTA congratulates Jared Seiler of Seiler’s Transport on his election as the new President of the Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of Queensland (LRTAQ). Jared was appointed at LRTAQ’s recent 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 13 February 2025 on the Gold Coast, alongside a newly formed management committee.

Jared brings extensive experience to the role, having grown up in the livestock transport industry and now running Seiler’s Transport, a family business operating 19 trucks across Queensland and Northern NSW. His longstanding commitment to industry advocacy includes serving as the Queensland representative on ALRTA’s Driver & Animal Welfare Committee and contributing to national discussions on Chain of Responsibility and animal welfare accreditation.

We look forward to working with Jared and the LRTAQ team to continue supporting Queensland’s livestock and rural transporters.

Jared Seiler
